Ohh man you are confusing me, most of users suggested me to stay away from bsnl wimax as they were not satisfied with that at all.... I'm using bsnl adsl2+ broadband from past 6 years with less satisfaction, I also tried their EVDO but it was a huge headache.....The other options I have in my area are airtel , sify, and tata, I used all of them and concluded bsnl is better among them but finally bsnl is just a compulsion for helpless people of small towns......

first check the RSSI and CINR values for wimax......if they are in the optimal range, it'll be ok....else it would be a wastage.....check it first

An aunty called me today asking why I was not making outgoing calls on the 750UL+ Plan. This is the first time I got a call since the line was installed in March 2006.I told her I have additional landline to make voice calls and this line was used exclusively for broadband.Looks like the staff is under pressure to add revenues. I would be very scared about the future indeed! Please watch your bills like a hawk!
i also have this plan.why bsnl isn't upgrading speed on UL plans.......i am planning to shift on reliance......this 512 kbps is disgusting

Dumping BSNL this week. Their services have hit the absolute rock bottom. Most of the web pages cannot be opened and have latency as high as 500 > when pinging Google India. They don't bother about complaints, or don't know how to solve these issues anyways.
In spite of having NO customer support and pathetic services, they raised their tariff, that, for me, was putting the last nail on the coffin.
Please don't get me wrong. I have been a BSNL broadband customer for more than 7-8 yrs and was all praises about them and have recommended BSNL broadband to several of my friends (most of whom have already surrendered a long time back). Their services were very good till the last one year when they started having extreme poor routing issues and never seemed to be able to fix it.
the only reason people are sticking to bsnl was there were no other options i guess.it had lost the tag of "cheapest and best"

Agree i also want to move to thunder 1199
Bsnl by now should have done atleast 1mbps unlimited on ul800. Because their connectin quality is still not good. To download big files you would need to damage your computer.
India is Just Disgusting. Everywhere is cheating.

I am confused between 950 and 1425 plan.Any suggestion???BTW this is my 1st post in IBF.And if I take any of the two plans what should be my 1st step to get a good speed?I mean I am asking about the Config. Part.

These plans are near identical. The basic difference between them is the fup. For the first one it is 8gigs and that latter has a 20 gig limit. If you are a kind of bandwidth hog,and use up all the 20 gigs of 1425 plan in a few days, then better get the cheaper 950 Plan as the post fup speeds is the same. And if you use you data just for surfing, watching a couple of youtube videos everyday, and some Downloading (like Windows updates, some software's and stuff like that) then the 1425 plan should be good for you.

Depends on your use. Go for higher plan if you are not much into downloading.
