BSNL Broadband's new revolutionary (lol) broadband plans with minimum 2mbps speeds (lol)

I remember when Airtel raised minimum pre FUP speed to 2 Mbps in 2011 on low Data limit plans. The move became unpopular as people got frustrated when their speed got FUPed after downloading few GBs. That's when people coined the term FUPtel.

Similar thing is gonna happen with BSNL. People will curse once their 1 GB or 4 GB limit get exhausted shortly.

Basically they are stopping all plans less than 2 mbps and giving the least speed plan as 2 mbps but post fup speed will remain 512 kbps unfortunately. Or 256kbps in my case.
And what is that FUP. 1 Gb? .. Is it.. If that is correct then whats the usefulness of 2 mbps....obviously speed would last for only few hours.

Yes. 512kbps is still the post-FUP speed. If there are doubts, check BSNL website next month.

Now it is looks like BSNL will deliver truly unlimited minimum 2mbps speed, and 512kbps is going to history. As per telecom minister tweet it will be minimum 2mbps and minimum means the minimum and 512kbps speed is below minimum and thus 512kbps will deleted and 2mbps will be inserted in stead of 512kbps everywhere.

(N.B. I am still confused)
