I recently upgraded my plan by mistake on the app. My previous plan was of 6371rs. Annual plan, and I upgraded to a 10k something plan. I have paid the 6371 rs.

I went to the bsnl centre and they say it can't be downgraded because the 6k plan was commited and now I will have to pay 10k. What do I do? :( please help I cant afford to pay another 10k.

There is no option to downgrade on the self-care portal. I raised a complaint and they said I'll have to wait till the bill and see how the amount is deducted to go further.

They don't know how their own system works. If it's 10k-6k = 4k I am willing to pay but not another 10k. :(

@Lolita_Magnum sorry for the late reply, the plan difference was between 4 to 5k. the issue is resolved now, I complained on twitter, and I had to give a plan change form and an application saying "I am new to the services and I made a mistake". I have to pay no extra money now.

@Slim362 Good for you.
Just a heads Up. BSNL has long removed the option to downgrade. It is Wise not to use the Selfcare Portal for ANY Plan Changes. The site is antique and functions very poorly. Moreover, there are MANY confusing Codes.
The best way is to Approach a BSNL Office with a Written Request Asking for a Specific Plan. DO NOT Mention Downgrade ANYWHERE. Just mention that the subscriber wants a So-And-So Plan for the FTTH Connection (Mention Number and Subscriber Account Name and Number).
It is important to clear ALL previous dues and approach the BSNL Office about 1 or 2 days AFTER Bill Payment.
