I have this strange problem.. I am using BSNL ( 900+ ) plan. Internet connection works fine whole day with good speed.. But daily at about 7:00 PM the connection goes off. DSL light in the modem becomes unstable and link speed drops to zero.. Connection works fine from morning 7:00I saw some other users facing same issue in some forum.. But couldn't find the solution. BSNL people are clueless about this :(..Can anybody please help me

do you leave your modem on all the time? normally bsnl gives you a new ip every 24 hrs.. since home plans dont provide static ip

Thanks for reply :)No we switch it off when we don't use it.. since i am at home only on weekends in daytime. Only on weekends it is ON in daytime..rest of the times it is switched off

I m using UL750+,if the modem is kept on all the day connection goes off around 10PM and can only reconnect in the morning. So i try to switch off the modem often when not in use and DNS is a server tat translates web address into numbers (broadbandforum.co to 195.654.32 like tat).BSNL DNS servers r crap so everyone uses openDNS which is free, reliable and fast.

Am experiencing low speeds of the order of 60kBps during the free time. It starts with 200kBps and by 2:20am, the speed drops to 60kBps. :(

I am facing almost similar problem. The connection often drops after 10 PM night.. on UL750 and becomes worse after 2 AM midnight:wall:. I have to reboot my DSL modem and everything works fine for some time and then it disconnects... I guess its more of a problem with Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh... cos all the Broadband accounts for these two states are kept in Bangalore servers.. so the same problem....
