bsnl connection

Hello , I have taken BSNL broadband connection. I am not able to start my connection because 192.168.1.1 is not connected. I have modem( SMARTAXT882). Thanks Mekhla192.168.1.1 is not connected ,thats why iam not able to connect my internet connection.

First Make sure you get an IP address in the range of 192.168.1.x. Then only you can connect to http://192.168.1.1 . if you are not able to connect, make sure your network cable is connected properly and assign an IP eg: 192.168.1.2 and 255.255.255.0 in subnet mask. then try again loggin to 192.168.1.1 . then change the settings accordingly.
