Update: I googled and read many forum regarding the same problem.. but found no concrete solution. Although a guy on flipkart wrote that he downloaded firmware JWNR2000v2-V1.0.0.10_1.0.5_WLAN_patch patch and it worked fine for me. Router never prompted me ever for a firmware update. I searched for the firmware it wasnt available on Netgear's site.. though found one on some random russian site.. downloaded and uploaded the img on to the router and it has shown some improvement.. last night did only one reset.. and today i did not. Although net went couple of times down.. i refused to reset again.. waited and found out that high seeded files from private trackers were downloading at full speed.. and the only thing i couldnt do was browse the internet or connect to Sony PSN. I waited(kept refreshing google) and after 2-3min it works again... this keeps happening after random intervals

Try using with only modem connected to isolate the problem...
I have tried setting up a bridge connection.. (http://192.168.1.1/) whenever i click on any button, it keeps giving me this
"400 Bad RequestNo request found." errors its annoying. Should i request a new modem?

Also post line stats! They are usually the reason for such problems.

why a new router? probably something wrong with your current router settings. I suggest get a friend's router for a day or 2 and test it. and then make decisions.
