BSNL FTTH flyers sent by email to Bangalore Broadband Users

@devx101

What I meant was that the plan would on lines of mtnls meaning that there would be no fup, what I forgot to mention was that the speed would be 2mbps.

2mbps @999,That wont be bad...that's a cool 1/4th drop frm the listed cost of 4k.:cool:: hope the other plans too get such drops specially the fibro-16mbps-100gb plan to some 1.5k-1.7k which might be a affordable true high speed plan at last.:angel_not:

@madhusudhan7

Earlier, out here myway was providing Iptv on copper. However they seem to have disappeared now that ftth has been launched.

I guess it's the same scene around here, i had their iptv on copper and has to disconnect because of lack of regional channels/broken promises, hence would not like to call them & check either

Does anyone else know who's handling BSNL's FFTH in Bangalore ?

Update :My stb arrived a few days ago. Its an SD UTStarcom box. They have told me that HD will be provided once beta testing is over as they want to make sure that sd content has no glitches before moving to hd. I've been busy over the past few days, so I haven't had the time to see the iptv is. Will do a review with pictures tomorrow.

Any updates on this bro

P.S: Pleas pardon me in case you already posted this elsewhere. I've missed a few threads in recent times, couldn't find on search either.

Nah, theyve been instructed to only use sd for beta tests as they aren't charging us for both internet and tv. (The ftth guys gave me this reason) Iptv did have some lag earlier on, but now its smooth. However, it cant compete with the likes of dth and cable in terms of picture quality yet. I havent posted any pics because its thr same iptv you'd get on copper.The telephone had an issue with incoming calls from airtel landline which has now been resolved. Zero downtime upto now, pings are good as always. I havent really spoken to anyone at bsnl for some time now, so i wouldnt know of any updates with ftth in general.

There were some posts in this forum where users claimed to be getting about 7Mbps of Upload speed irrespective of the plan they were in, is this true ?
Is the speedtest in your signature from your FTTH line ?

but how are you getting 4mbps,have you changed the plan?U were on some 512 kbps plan as stated earlier...

Upload speeds are unrestricted, they touch 8mbps too. You can check my.previous speedtests in this thread. Download.is 512k. Upload is 4mbps average.
