@varkey - It was the same here. The log file had become 3mb. Logged in first via telnet and then shell like you did. DF said the disk was 98% full.
Then since I had to keep googling commands, I just decided to FTP into it. Now the default user pass didnt work for FTP, So i did a search in Last good config, and picked up the username and password from it. It was some weird "e8ftp" as both user name and password lol. Then I was able to ftp. Deleted the log file. Had already disabled the logging.
Then I saw something weird. There was a lastgood.xml.check_failed file there. No correct date so cant figure out if it was new or old. It was a smaller file so i figure it was old or new one that saved half cause of lack of space.
Going through the config file is giving me a feel that this modem is shit. Anyway, I've asked the LCO to revert back to old firmware. I dont need this headache. Will close all services to WAN. With me using it all day, I'll notice performance drop due to malware immediately anyway.
1) Bridge Mode - Modem cable is plugged in WAN port on Router, So I just select PPPOE and dial using the Use pass on the modem after removing that profile on the modem?
2) Soft SIP - Is there any article or steps I can read for this? Can I have multiple Phones using the SIP app from my router network (not at the same time) ?
1. For that ONT, you need to change the profile type to bridge and bind that profile to a port. However this is assuming there is no mac binding, if so you would need to clone the mac (I had challenges cloning with that ONT) or get it reset from BSNL.
Guys, I was downloading a few 30-40 GB torrents. The whole modem used to get hanged. So today I shifted to Bridged mode thanks to @varkey's and some other posts on this forum. After a few tries it connected well. IPV6 doesnt work lol. I will see if it gets hanged on using torrents.
But I have a problem, I cant access the modem's IP address or its interface now. What can I do to get access without losing bridge mode? Mostly cause I need the LCO to configure it via teamviewer etc.
Did you try connecting directly to the "modem" via LAN cable removing the router from the path?
If you still cannot access it, check what might be the default IP of the modem and in your PC windows LAN settings change it to manual IP and set gateway IP to the modem's default IP and set PC's IP address to some other in the same subnet for example set gateway to 192.168.1.1 and set your IP to 192.168.1.2 and subnet to 255.255.255.0 and then try opening 192.168.1.1 in your browser?
