BSNL would launch by this month-end 'Fibre to Home' (FTH) facility for customers seeking internet, telephone and TV channels' access in Indore (Madhya Pradesh).

A high speed up to 100 mbps on Internet would be given with FTH in which customers could download a movie in just one minute, a BSNL spokesman said today quoting Senior General Manager G C Pandey.

For getting a FTH connection with a speed of one mbps the customers would have to pay Rs. 300 per month, and for 100 mbps it would be about Rs. 84,000 per month. Installation charges would be around Rs. 1000, according to the BSNL tariff.

1mbps for 300 bucks would still be neat. even if they have a crappy fup. would still be cheaper than airtel plans.

They already offer 100mbps speeds on FTTH here in Bangalore for the same price. I thought they would finally lower the price, I mean 100mbps till 500GB or 1TB for about 10k to 15k would be better than charging 84k for an unlimited 100mbps connection. Come one how much would one person download?
