cable operator not listening to my complaint

my cable operator recently shifted from win prime cable service to fastway cable services
i live in mohali,punjab
the problem is that now no channel is coming clearly i.e. snow is present on all the channels
i complaint him but he doesnt listens to my complaint
earlier i used to recieve 100 channels but now he is giving only 70 channels which are even not clear.


so what can i do now
i cannot change my cable connection because he is the only cable operator present in my locality
can i take cable operator to consumer court
please help me guys

u can take him to court if he is issuing u a REAL bill, else he wud simply cut ur line and tell in court that he is not providing u cable at all.and is he charging u same amt or he reduced amt too? in that case i am not sure if u can sue him.and 3rd and last thing, did u check with ur neighbours, are they getting same bad quality and same problem?

I am staying in Kalyan, Maharashtra . My Building which has 4 wings as A,B,C & D Each wing having 20 flats and we have 3 cable operators 1 cable operator is from Incablenet(Hinduja cable) and other 2 cable operators are from WWIL(Zee group) All three operators have different channels package and we can only choose the cable connections available in that Wings Cable Monopoly DTH is the only Answer to Cable Monopoly

3rd and last thing, did u check with ur neighbours, are they getting same bad quality and same problem?

my neighbours are not concerned about bad reception of cable
they said that they are getting star plus ,zeetv and Sony tv with good reception and they are not woried for not recieving other channels

thats why cable operator is also not concerned about reception of cable:wall:


and is he charging u same amt or he reduced amt too? in that case i am not sure if u can sue him.




he is charging me rs 250 p.m.
and giving only 70 channels

earlier he used to give 100 + channels with same cost and with good reception

well u can take him to court but it wud be long way.other way is find 5-8 more ppl like u and go to his office and make a complaint. unity wud be good even for a court case.

i have 4 tv's in my house
so getting dth will be a bit costly for me


other way is find 5-8 more ppl like u and go to his office and make a complaint. unity wud be good even for a court case.

If you move from your cable to DTH it might cost bit more than cable to view the channels but the clarity of all the channels will be in good quality no matter whether you choose TS or Dish TV or SD
