Hi there, I'm trying to setup a connection as quick as possible. I heard that guys in trivandrum are waiting for 5+ months for a connection. Can anybody from trivandrum confirm this? The only other option is Asianet and they claim they can give the connection in 2 days..but lots of horror stories with Asianet. I'm looking for something with the least amount of downtime as possible. While TATA ( vsnl) has few downtimes, their speeds have gotten slower and slower. Also, it would be really helpful if BSNL guys in trivandrum can ping the following servers for me. Just go to Start > Run > and typePing -t 202.63.160.186Ping -t 202.63.160.44 Ping -t 210.18.6.89Tell me what value you get on "time= __ ms". Please mention your exchange and plan. Thank you

My friend uses Asianet in TVM and the speeds are horrible. Better go with BSNL.

I see you are on BSNL. Would you ping the servers I mentioned on my first post? It would be really helpful..

Thank you

And regarding the connectivity, dont just sit there after applying for the connection. Go and meet them every week and enquire about the status of the connection. Most of the people i know are getting connected within a month in Trivandrum.
