Need suggestions for camera. Admittedly I don't have any experience with cameras but Im starting to get into photography as a hobby. Need suggestions.

try any bridge camera which is better than point & shoot and has more manual control over shots.
I have a Fujifilm 2950 and its way too better than P&S which go even beyond the price at which you can have a bridge one.

Based on short time I spent researching, What I should look for is a decent bridge camera. No use going for normal point and shoot since Ive to learn different settings.
