BSNL-Home 500C
Hi Friends

Below is my Oct BSNL bill of my "Home 500C" plan. This is my 5th month of continuous BSNL connection. But every time I'm seeing they are charging Rs300-400 more in the section "Debits". What the hell is that ?

My bill should be like ...
1. Monthly rental: Rs 500/-
2. Modem rental: Rs 60/-
3. Phone calls: Rs 389/- (in this bill)
4. Extra data transfer (if any): Till date I've not used even my complete 1.5 GB free usage in any month
5. Service tax

Plz help me to understand this bill.

Thank you.

Your BILL bill can be for ...
1. Monthly rental: Rs 500/-
2. Modem rental: Rs 60/-
3 Taxes 12.13% on above
4. Extra data transfer (if any):
Check your billed BB usage data for the month of OCTOBER 2008.
in bbservice.bsnl.in with 14 Digit portal ID.
5. Service tax for phone rental if any.
6. Fixed Phone Rental If any
Para two:
Now you have assumed "Debits" is your BB rental modem rent etc
and in your bill Phone Rental is not shown separately
Check your Telephone Plan One india etc.
If your present L/L connection was under different plan earlier and has not been changed.
Compare Telephone bill earlier to getting BB connection.

they have included the "broadband usage" charges in the "debit section".it should have been 500+60+67(12% tax)=627 there.u sure that your monthly usage was under 1.5 GB?You mentioned that it's been the same case with last few months.are they charging 962 RS every time as debit?

In many of my BSNL bills charges are printed in wrong rows which creates confusion. In one of my bill Security deposit was shown as installation charges.

i suppose MTNL is a bit more reliable in this matter..Mostly their bills are accurate and well designed..

@essbebe & @Motorazor143:What ur saying ? I could not understand ur reply. In my post I ve clearly said I ve "Home 500C" plan means ... there is no rental for phone and after 175 free call all calls are under OneIndia plan and I DO NOT CROSS from 1.5Gb free usage, it for SURE :wall:Seems that I HAVE TO visit the exchange in this saturday and will have to clarify from them.:cry:Thanx

well i asked your whether they r charging 962rs from last 4 months??yeah on combo plans there is no telephone rent..

Not exactly this number. But in this section "Debits" I'm seeing approx Rs 300-400 more than my expected bill and unfortunately they are disclosing the breakups in the bill :wall:

@urpradhanDid you pay the telephone line deposit when you got the line installed?Currently BSNL is not charging any deposit while installing the line but they charge it in monthly installments. And in the bill they do not specify this clearly that it is a security deposit installment. Instead they will put the charges somewhere in Misclleneous charges or something else
