Can someone explain Optics Module Status? Is mine good or bad?

Should the value be closer to -7.00 dBm for stable connection?

what about Tx optics signal? what is optimal value for it?
 
-7dBm is the maximum signal the router can work on. Getting that value is only attained when you have a direct line without any splitter from olt to your ont.
As this is a digital signal the values don't matter much until and unless they are extremely close to the min/max limit, then even -0.1 variance will make the ont stop getting signal.
 
Does the ftth technology is also based on rf frequency, like u have a dedicated downstream and upstream frequency as in the case of cable broadband..
 
No,there is no designated frequency for every ont.
It is based on time differential duplex.
Each device wait for its turn to speak.
Just like TDD-LTE.
 
@Kick933 then what will happens if more and more customers are there own single fibre.latency will increase isn't it if we are waiting for the transmission slot ,why is there no dedicated frequency for transmission... is it not possible
 
I am really sorry for not being very clear.
There is frequency is designated for transmission.Usually 1550 nm or 1310 NM wavelength light is used.They just have no specific frequency designated to each ont.
That is the only reason that we have limited users per port.
 
@Kick933 so if all the ont in an area is connected to a common frequency and is simultaneously transmitting then that frequency will gets congested isn't it .in cable broadband each users has their up and downstream frequency.
 
All ONT wait for their turn to speak.That is how PON technology evolved.
Sorry,but if cable use this method,it is very inefficient.Rather,we can broadcast all channel with compression and encryption
I will be searching details about cable network.
But I am sure about PON,It use TDD.
