Can we use 2 modems simultaneously ?

You can do that using RASPPPOE on XP too, just create the extra WAN end-points, but what do you do after that? XP automatically takes the last connected connection as the gateway and routes all traffic using just that one connection. The rest sit there idle. That case you pointed out is one modem using one VPI/VCI, just using several WAN links over that same interface. You can't have multiple devices using the same interface though, it just will not work.

I tried creating 2 PPP in connection. But then when I connect second, the first one hangs and then logs out automatically in 2-3 mins.

/members/boygr8/I have two modems, can access two ISPs, but only one laptop computer.Just now tried splitting the Phone connection and connected both modems.But only one Rj45 can be connected to the laptop 1.Option 1 : Use USB port for second modem. to connect to laptop. Option 2 : Isp1 modem 1 ethernet port computer say 256 Kbps................ISP2 modem 2 USB port of computer say upto 2 Mbps.................IsP3 dialup modem also connected. say 56 Kbps.Tried long back option 2. Only one faster speed connection active. If one fails another will take over. No speed improvement! ( discussed in these forum/s earlier) post no 11 above. Para two :Info given in another thread, referred by you is also not possible. modem IP address given as 34.34.34.1.

u can assign any address to ur modem in lan profile.....cant u????essbee u have one computer. If somebody has 2 computers with 2 modems with 1 telephone line and 1 BB connection from MTNL, can he try?????Does he get full speed on both PCs? if yes, then we can do a workaround possibly to get double speeds on 1 PC???

If you use this as modem IP address, how computer will access the modem, instead of the web site above ?.
Try assigning any Airtel IP address to modem
and confirm your modem page only opens. .

i have 2 modems and i always wanted to try connecting both of them together. but i never found time, and when i did i got too lazy.
i will try this in a few days, very busy now. i will post what happens.

Okay I got 2 modems but they cannot be connected simultaneously.....as soon as i connect the 2nd one, the 1st loses the sync and 2nd one also doesnt sync.
