Hi guys , i have a 512Kbps plan from Airtel with 440TXI Beetel Wi-Fi Router (Black Color)
PC Specs -
XFX 780i SLI (nVidia board)
4GB Ram DDR2
9800GT 512MB OC'ed
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
Bit Defender Anti Virus

The problem i am facing is that whenever i download using a torrent client
after 5 minutes or so (depends) my pc gets really slow (cursor hardly moves) and it shows limited connectivity (as in the images below) and i am disconnected off everywhere , yahoo , msn messenger , steam and cannot even browse!

I have tried basically all the torrent clients like uTorrent , Vuze , Bit Torrent , same problem.
Earlier I was on 32Bit Vista , it had the same problem suddenly.

I have no freakin idea why this is happening.

Please help , cannot download. :(

Good settings - AzureusWiki

cap your upload rate.home routers cannot handle so many connections
your upload rate should be 80% of the total upload rate.

also downld http://www.lvllord.de/?url=tools
and edit the open connection to unlimited

Still same problem there , please help guys , will be better if someone who knows can help / guide me over msn/yahoo!Request.ThanksTo summarize it up , whenever i download anything from any torrent client be it Vuze , uTorrent , BitTorrent , i end up slowing down my pc after 5 minutes and along with it , it gives me an error saying Limited Connectivity (with a yellow exclamation mark on the right bottom of screen) and i loose connectivity to internet i.e no yahoo , msn , steam , firefox , everything! I use Beetel 440TXI wi-fi modem (Black Colored) and am on a 512Kbps+ Unlimited connection by Airtel. Also this happens only when I'm downloading through torrents , please take that in mind.PS - When i get disconnected to the interent , all the lights on the modem/router are on as usual and they don't go off , just i can't browse/download chat and anything related to the internet and pc goes slow (cursor moves slow etc , kind of dies as good as a hang :s).

On 64 Bit Vista , shows this - http://i40.tinypic.com/125hlvs.jpg
(I did run it as Administrator)
Should I restart? :s

And i'm not sure if it's because of Windows because , earlier when I was on 32Bit i had started facing the same problem (in that case windows used to hang completely and now it gets very slow probably coz I'm on 64bit now).

^^ 5 Minutes back same problem occurred but this time no torrent client involved. I tried downloading an attachment off my GMail account (around 900Kb) and the same problem , network loss before the download even started.

There was a seperate patch for Vista but since it happened during Gmailing I'm not sure if that would help. Are you connected through the USB port ? .. Are you using the Wireless ? If not try disabling it and see how it goes..Else If all else fails call up Airtel and get the router replaced..maybe its the router acting up..

Can't rule out the Ethernet/wifi card either. I say this cuz i doubt a malfunctioning ADSL modem can cause Windows to hang. Vista can't be it cuz the 32-bit version behaved the same way. Torrents are ruled out since the same thing happened with an attachment. Try uninstalling and updating the drivers in Device Manager If it's a PCI card, then try removing it, cleaning the contacts and moving it to another PCI slot. If that doesn't help, try another card to make sure or buy a new one. While ur at it, do the same thing with the RAM. Ofcourse, it would help to have a 2nd machine to isolate the problem further.

have you installed more than ONE ANTIVIRUS?It seems your ethernet card has some fault. maybe a driver issue.Check device manager for any yellow marks.
