Carrier Aggregation on Airtel 4G LTE

If Vodafone exits there will be no proper competition and Both operator can increase data prices as their wish. I guess Jio is waiting for Vodafone's exit.

The integration of Vodafone and Idea network is still in progress, I think things would gradually improve from then on. Lets not forget they Vodafone and Idea's spectrum is going to get combined as well, so there is a very good possibility of an even better network than before.

I still remember 3G era.On most places speed was good.720p video ran without any issue any time even in peak hours. Now after Jio GB/day concept things changed.Due to this people keep trying to use daily limit just to avoid data wastage. And Due to this network gets congested. In many places in peak hours even 360P video buffers a lot. That GB/DAY CONCEPT IS WORST and main cause of slow 4G in india.

Another reason is the lack of adequate 4g spectrum with operators which they cannot due anything due to their bigger finanical stress . Also there are fewer BTS with operators as compared to the population density of india.

I remember I used to browse internet on pc by connecting to my phone on 2G during my college days. Nowadays if you connect with 2G, nothing opens, not even a website. Same with 3G, I used to be able to watch videos, get into meeting with 3G, but after 4G rollout 3G became pathetic. Lack of spectrum is one thing, second is proper timely investment and planning by the ISP to decongest the local nodes while the traffic and subscribers continues to increase. India's international bandwidth actually remains largely unused. VoWifi here can definitely help offload some traffic from cellular network.

Yes this gb/day concept should be removed and bulk data should be given. If this happens their will be some significant improvement in QoS but they won't make it. 🙄

@godric_gt The problem India is that it has only 2 major international gateways (please ignore others), so backhaul to these international gateways should be properly built. Instead of this important fiber project, Govt is trying to build a half baked NOFN project.
If it's in my hands, I would make BSNL's fiber assets as a separate company and offer NLD, ILD circuits to the telcos at a very attractive price bring down the cost of bandwidth.
