They are not in position to buy 5G spectrum but Airtel will buy 4G spectrum for sure. 17Mhz of band 8 is available in TN!
In my area jio is slowing down gradually earlier it used to give 70Mbps now 40Mbps I think Airtel customers in my area are moving to jio . And more tall buildings are coming in my area blocking the signal. Earlier I used to get 50-60 dBm rsrp inside my house from Airtel, vil as tower is straight in line of sight 300mts away now two tall buildings came in between making rsrp 90 dBm.
Now, only jio site is nearer to my street 150mts ahead of Airtel, vil site giving good signal strength if this also blocked by new building means it's

@Vishal | Chennai Even here Jio has slowed down very much. After 8pm it's become .30Mbps download speed which is unusable.

Jio is slow every where except small towns or villages.Here also in Peak hours after 8pm Even with 3CA jio max 5Mbps.On the other hand airtel gives 11Mbps and Idea is fastest here with 30Mbps during that time.Its all due to lot of users porting to Jio and their GB/Day plans.

How 4g spectrum will be put for auction in kerala circle? Any chance of band 3 or FDD spectrums here?Airtel must buy additional 4g spectrum in every areas ,in kerala also they have less spectrum

And most importantly some amount of spectrum is expiring in 2021 for Airtel, vil especially 2G spectrum. And 3.75Mhz of band 5 is expiring for Jio in 2021.
