@philip Yeah I know. In most places Airtel has Band 40 20+10Mhz or 15+15Mhz for IntraBand CA.

In My state Airtel has b40(20+10).Still no intraband CA here.

@philip 16Mhz band 3, 10Mhz band 1 is available in Kerala for auction.

vil is having surplus amount of spectrum in your circle (Kerala)

12 mhz of band 8,
19.8Mhz band 3,
20Mhz band 41,
10Mhz band 40,
10Mhz band 1 in your circle.

I think they will trade excess spectrum with Airtel in future.

Here TN, except jio no other network have sub ghz spectrum for 4G.

Spectrum holding of Airtel looks same for TN and Kerala in terms of 4G.


And most importantly some amount of spectrum is expiring in 2021 for Airtel, vil especially 2G spectrum. And 3.75Mhz of band 5 is expiring for Jio in 2021.

why cannot they use excess spectrum for their own ?

Airtel 3CA is now working on Band 1 here and still Band 1 is 1x1 Siso wasn't getting speeds more than 25Mbps without CA.

Band 40 just disappeared in the nearest site only Band 3+5 CA working even on Galaxy A70. Getting band 40 from a very far site.

In Kerala Vil using Band 1 5mhz for 3G and 5mhz for 4G but band 1 is rarely seen
Band 8 5mhz is there 5mhz is used for 2G
Band 3 20mhz is there
Band 40 10mhz is there
Band 41 20mhz is there

Here in My Home during Peak Hours Jio matches airtel band 3 10mhz Speeds with 3CA 3+40+40.Other Combos can,t match airtel,s B3 Speed here during Peak Hours.
