i configured CA in such a way that it can only trigger when I'm indoor or far away from bts only on Band 5
.
Here in Delhi Jio speeds are much worse you get only avg. 1-2 mbps on Band 5 & 2-3Mbps on B3 same for Band 40 it isn't any better than lower bands.
CA on B5+B3 gives 3-5 mbps avg. in daytime. uploads are around 2 mbps
They need to buy spectrum in lower bands 5Mhz is a joke for a data network.

How did you configure CA to be enabled on your wish? Do not ISP decide whether you will be on CA or single band?

i only configured value for band 5. it will only latch on CA coupled with B5+B3 or B5+B40, it's upto you what you wanna take.
though Jio also deployed CA on B3+Bxx & may be on band 40 as well

These speeds on iPhone 7 Plus in my House toilet.

Elsewhere they are under 10 Mbps at all times.

So if I have to do some video streaming, sitting in toilet would be super awkward to explain to family.

Is anyone else seeing drastic reduction in internet speeds of Jio in recent weeks? I have been a loyal Jio customer for long now and I currently use 5 paid connections ( 2 connections of 2GB per day each and then 3 connections of 1 GB per day each). That is around 7 GB per day of which I rarely use a few GBs. I keep everything for backup. I also recharge other Jio numbers and have always promoted it to friends and relatives.

I am a massive supporter of Jio and one of my 2GB plans have been recharged in advance for a whole year as many of you probably know. It has been decent till now and it was initially 50 Mbps speed and gradually reduced to 5-10 Mbps or so. But that was also fine as it was usable. But in the last few days or weeks, the speed during the whole day is less than 1 Mbps per day. It is 512 Kbps per day in most times which is honestly dial up speed and reminds me back of stone age of internet again. Only after 12.30 am in the night, the speed gets back to 2 Mbps or so which is a decent usage speed. The upload speeds are also very slow and around 1-2 Mbps now except at late night when it touches 5 Mbps or so. At extreme night i.e. around 3-4 am or so, the speed returns to 10 Mbps + . As a whole, I am super confused at this drastic change of speed. I mean less than 1 Mbps is hardly even usable. Is anyone else facing the same issue or is it only me?

I have always thought Jio was the perfect replacement for BSNL and had trusted it highly in the past. But the reverse is happening now and the Jio speeds are turning terrible and hardly even usable from being awesome a few months ago. I am from Guwahati just for reference.

can you check the band you are on?
In my area frequented areas indoor band 5 gives 4-5mbps. Outdoor band 40 gives 2-3mbps.
So find a way to switch to band 5. Most mediatek powered phones can do via mediatek app.

Yep ! Service has been pathetic since the last month and I might make a switch back to Airtel in the coming days. Can't stand more on the "Caller Not Available or Out of Coverage" fiasco. Every time i get a call from a friend or a relative, it is more of abuses rather greetings. Call quality was superb but i guess Airtel would be quick enough to roll out VoLTE in a matter of 2-3 months for my region.

@igloo I latch on to 2300 i.e. the best band all the time. I have almost always had that band since the start and that is why I always preferred and recommended Jio. And I use LYF phone too since the start. I was an early adopter from the LYF with Jio time. My next door neighbor has a marriage of their daughter and I can hear a lot of people's voices all the time. So, I doubt they might have a lot of users/guests which might be decreasing the speed. I am not sure. The reception is next week. The problem increased since a week or two. So, maybe I should wait for the marriage to finish and check if the speed improves at that time. Overall the speeds are decreasing all the time though compared to the past. It is a bit surprising as now even my Jio Dhan Dhan recharges are not working anymore and giving only single month validity instead of 3 months. So, it is now thrice as expensive which should normally result in lesser customers and hence, better speeds and less network congestion. Hope for the best.

BTW here is a speedtest I ran right now. I am noticing that evening time is probably the worst of the lot. It is better today with 1 Mbps + speed. Normally it ends up below 1 Mbps in many cases. And it is local speedtest server of Jio itself in Guwahati. So, no latency issue either. The band is 2300 as I checked again. Not worried a lot but hopefully things would improve soon. Right now, I have 5 Jio with 2 GB per day in 2 phones and 1 GB per day in 3 phones and a BSNL 3G with 3GB per day and an unlimited BSNL 2 Mbps broadband line too. So, I have overall 10 GB per day just in 4G + 3G in addition to a broadband unlimited of 2Mbps. So, I am trying to keep enough backups for safety. I hardly use 2-3 GB max even if I watch youtube etc. And if I do not use Youtube or video streaming, I probably do not even use 1GB in a day. But it is the deterioration in network quality of Jio which is worrying me as I am a huge supporter of Jio and have always hoped for the best. Jio is the best thing that has happened till now to me in internet to be honest. But hope the quality remains and it is not unusable in the future.
