CAT6 cable from Pole

So I'm getting a broadband connection and the bsnl guy told me to buy the wire from the market, so I have a CAT6 D-Link cable at home which is around 100m long (CAT6 UTP - CAT6 UTP 23AWG Solid:305M in Cables | D-Link India) and I was wondering if I could use it from the pole to my home?

bsnl dsl would require telephone cable... ftth would require optical fiber. this is usually only supported by cable operator run isps.

CAT6 can be used as Telephone cable but it would be a waste of extra wires because telephone/DSL will only use a single pair of the four pairs. Get a regular two wire telephone cable preferably shielded one.

That cable is for indoor rated. It doesn't have any UV Resistance and the insulation will get damaged quickly when used outdoors.
This is the cable BSNL/MTNL typically use for DSL installations.

None of this applies for fiber though.

When i did BSNL BB installtion they provided me this cable free of cost .. Its still installed in my house ..
