I have a peculiar problem here. On someone's advice i installed Cat6 cabling in my new home. I have an ADSL conn. Is it possible to connect the phone drop wire to the CAT6 cabling so as to get a broadband signal? I hope you guys understand my problem.
Cat 6 has 4 pair of wires while ADSL has 2 pair, you can make use of that cable(cat 6) for your broadband connection, you'd need an RJ11 connector for that. Just make sure both sides are terminated the same way or follow a guidline online for color coordination.
You'd also need a RJ11 splitter or an inline coupler to connect both cables.
