CD and DVD Drive not detected after RAM Upgrade

Yesterday i upgrade my Ram 512 MB to 1GB. After Ram upgrade, my CD Drive and DVD drive not detected. What is the prob, any help:icry:

I believe its better to buy RAM of same make, just to be safe. I buying dynet everytime I upgrade , because I don't know how well dynet and corsair would work together.

You can use both 1GB and 512MB RAM on a single motherboard but their frequencies have to match.

How can i know the Ram Frequency?...

You can check your current frequency using CPU-Z from CPUID. Download the application if you don't already have it, and click on the 'Memory' tab.

^And remember to multiply that frequency by 2 if its a DIMM DRAM.
