^ Indian players just cannot play on those fast and bouncy overseas tracks, as simple as that and the same goes to the Club teams as well.We have already seen how they have struggled in those bouncy tracks and donot think 4 overseas players including one or two bowlers in the IPL teams are gonna win for those teams.You're just becoming optimistic for your team CSK, that's all you can do but all in vain.
You're just making sweeping statements. It depends on the kind of pitches. The pitches usually prepared for T20 and ODI matches are not too juicy. They will have bounce but not too much lateral movement. Lateral movement is what causes the problem for Indian cricketers. India did win a test match each in 2006-7 and 2010-11 SA series.

Let me mention you a few things that happened in the last decade.
2003 World Cup losing finalist - India
2007 T20 World Cup winner - India
2010 CL T20 winner - Chennai Super Kings

All above tournaments were held in South Africa. How did Indian teams win if they can't play on those wickets like you mentioned. People have short memory. They all talk on the basis of the 8 test losses against England and Australia.

P.S. CSK might or might not win the tournament but time and again, people who wrote off CSK have eaten humble pie.

Also Mike Hussey was slow yesterday & Raina scored well.Even Aussie bowlers (Bollinger/Hilfenhaus) got hit

TBH, 171 in reply to 185 isn't bad, I thought in conditons that people say is not suited to Indian batsmen. Badri, Dhoni and Jadeja failed. If Dhoni had stayed till the end, things might have been different.Also, the one problem for CSK in the last 5 years has been the absence of even a decent Indian seamer in the team.Zaheer, Irfan, Dinda, Balaji went to SL for T20 WC. Then we have Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron, RP Singh, Sreesanth, Munaf Patel.Out of these one dozen good to decent Indian bowlers, CSK has none. They have Sudeep Tyagi and he's not even in the XV selected for CLT20. We have no other choice than to go with Yo Mahesh. I reckon CSK should switch Hussey with Morkel and Mahesh with Jakati. Not many choices are available.

CS-K have always struggled with seamers, and hence a must needed switch was needed which was provided by Bollinger which was a turn around of sorts. They struggled with their selections early on, with a few guys doing well in 1-2 games & struggling in the next 4-5. Guys like Manpreet Gony, Palani Amarnath, Joginder Sharma, Sudeep Tyagi, Balaji. And in foreign players they tried with Ntini, Thusara, A.Morkel (as frontline bowler), J.Oram, Flintoff (briefly) . All of them being decent on their day, but average to below average in most other days.

To think that a second division player like Palani Amarnath played for Chennai in the first IP-L is laughable. IP-L has indeed come a long way. At least, CS-K.We did struggle with our bowling and despite that we won 2 IP-Ls and were losing finalists in 2 other IP-Ls, not to forget the fact that we won a CLT20.Kulasekara must be given more chances. I think he's been in fine form in the last year.Chennai must also try to get Steyn or Ishant or both from Deccan Chargers. Steyn would love to play in a winning team.

Well, Amarnath got a chance because of several players like Kumaran had left for IC-L & since Chennai was given only a couple of states to choose bowlers from (incl. Tamil Nadu) they had to choose him. They had Hayden, Hussey,Oram & Murali as their foreign players early on, so they had to pick 2-3 local seamers, Balaji was an automatic choice. But Gony, Amarnath were relatively unknown faces & Joginder & Tyagi were also not automatic choices. So, all were given a trail over a period of time.And if you see, I would not agree that IP-L has come far off. Its just that they found Ashwin, a local spinner who could do well in place of Murali. Hence allowing for a seamer to come in. Also Hayden retiring meant a slot opened up for another allrounder like Bravo (who wasnt in the original Chennai line-up).

So i am interested in knowing if there is anyone else who is "really very happy" to see IPL teams lose?I also "really get annoyed" by that Ajay Devgan ad where he keeps on asking "pyar hain to dikhana hain", "champions league jeetwana jaroori hain"my foot!

Not happy as such, but find no real interest or care about these games. If an IP-L team has to win, I would say I prefer Delhi because they havent won anything yet. If not, I am supporting Auckland Aces. Somehow cannot come across to support Aussie teams & SAfrican teams also do not seem to have that charm.

Nope, bounce has also been a disaster along with the lateral movement for the Indian team.For instance, in Australia & South Africa there is a lot of bounce typically, in Australia where they have always struggled and also recently even in the sub continental track we've seen how aussies ripped through the Indian Innings by bangning short balls.They have always exploited this particular flaw in the Indian team from a long long time unlike other teams.So, that says it all that how they have struggled.

That was a dream run for Indian team(2000-2010) which is over now.now they are back to the same state where they were before 2000.Mark my words they will be in the bottom of the table shortly.Seeing, how Kiwis challenged India recently.

I'm afraid but i'm more concerned with the national team rather than local club teams.
