Cheapest 512 unlimited broadband plan in India?

Recently saw an Ad for 5 Network which provides internet connection in Mumbai...they advertise 384 kbps @ Rs 400 Per month... have never heard of them before i saw the AD.

Get a 599 unlimited plan from MTNL and get speeds around 512kbps ... Comes with a modem too ...

Among the mainstream ISPs the MTNL plan posted by Aditya is the cheapest true 512 kbps unlimited I know of.Assuming you are in Mumbai or Delhi/NCR. It may be BSNL for Rest of India. Can't vouch for that.Apart from this, most places have their own niche small ISPs which are usually cheaper than the mainstream ones. Most of these are made available through your local cable TV operator.

I own the D-Link 502T modem. So, what are expense of a new connection? BTW If I don't need a telephone connection and just a broadband connection is that possible?Rs 599, inclusive of all taxes?

For unlimited plans, it doesn't matter whether you own your CPE or not. They will provide it to you rent free.For the total cost of a new connection, you better check their website for the latest info. It depends on whether you go for a WiFi modem also.With MTNL, you must have a landline to get broadband. 512 kbps unlimited is Rs. 599/- plus the minmum landline rent (Rs 150/-) plus tax. They have a 495 unlimited combo that has no separate landline rent but that is 320 kbps.BTW all this info is for MTNL mumbai. For delhi it may be different.

Dont know which Reliance people are talkin about....its Netconnect or Wired line.....If its Wired line - then i have a very good experience with it.And their plans too are very good - Rs.450pm - 300 kbps........DL and UL both at same speeds - which even bursts upto Some MBs per second if u have good seeders......One more plan - MTNL gives 512 kbps for 599, and Reliance Wired line gives u 600kbps for Rs.600pm!! And the Added benefits are same as i mentioned above......Add Rs. 50 extra in each, if u want their Landline also - mind u there are really attractive & effective schemes there as well!!And for a change even their CC is fairly good - not the best, but wont degrade it by saying any bad things for it - coz they are actually fairly good!!
