I agree that Google is selling it at a subsidized rate because of that reason. But then, if the imported unit is bought for 26K, I do not understand the need for LG to price the same at above 30k.Understood. Yeah, its all about luck. Who knows when a part can malfunction. I'm just concerned about the warranty part & nothing else.

you will have to let go the warranty out of your head if you want to purchase anything from US.

I mostly get phones without warranty from US or grey market and did not get problem till now (touch wood) so already ordered nexus 4 in US and will get in months time here. I follow this thumb rule - if w/o warranty price is 20% less compare to normal price I save those money thinking it will cost less to repair it.In case of nexus 4, I will be shocked if LG will be selling it under 30K initially. (i am getting in around 21K - which is 30% less)

Yes me too, all my phones are from grey market , except for the x10 i am having , all other phones had zero problem. but then again its luck , but products sold in u.s have better build . imo.

Okay. Thank you for the suggestions. I would get the net price of the phone and most probably ask him to send. :D

Not necessarily. Apple provides international warranty on all its products except iPhones.

Failing to get phone from abroad. Damn! :(Is there any other phone that I can buy at the 20 - 27k range? Suggest. (if I fail to get Nexus 4)

So nobody to suggest? :(I badly need a phone. Stuck with 2.3.6 :/

what's wrong with 2.3.6 for a couple of weeks more? wait for nexus 7 to become more widely available than going for a compromise product?if you go for a non-nexus phone, you would find yourself stuck with 4.x when 5.x would be out.
