In my area max 5G speed on JIO 5G is 200Mbps, its different in different areas.

On the same mobile device(L0) if I use 5G it gives MAX speed
If I go down one level(L1) by direct connecting PC with type C USB LAN card it gives 200Mbps speed
If I go down two level(L2) by connecting Router with type C USB LAN card, and PC over LAN it gives 80Mbps speed
If I go down three level(L3) by connecting Phone with Router 5ghz access point it gives 80Mbps speed

So I suspect they are somehow using deep packet inspection to detect the Hops L1, L2, L3 and downgrading the speed,
I mean maybe they have done this so that anyone cannot share 5G internet through LAN or in repeater mode.

PS: I have not tried 5G CPE devices which have inbuilt sim card slot, it will be same throttling I guess(Let me know if anyone using CPE devices to share internet, how is your speed), I just used my Redmi note 12 5G to check 5G internet speeds over hops

5G is capable of 20 gigabits per second and I get only 200Mbps
and our internet is not neutral, censored & throttled (and most probably monitored)

quick google search revealed that your 5g phone has a usb 2.0 port. keeping realistic usb performance and other overheads in mind, ~200mbps is reasonable.

also good chance that your router negotiated an FE (100mbps) link speed with that usb ethernet thing, so even further reduction.

testing over wifi is not expected to improve those speeds since FE uplink to 5g phone, is the actual bottleneck.

Did you check the port and cable that goes to your PC?
If it is cat5, or if the port is FE port, then the max speeds you are gonna get would be 100 Mbps.
It is not a fault of the network in this case.
What router did you use?

My router is TP-Link Archer c5
Links are 1Gbps, both WAN port and the LAN on PC shows 1Gbps

If I directly connect phone to PC through USB cable, I get max speed which 200Mbps in my case

its an usb 2 port router
there are bottlenecks at various places in your setup

I have a 5G Indoor CPE and I get speeds around 300 to 600 Mbps at various times of the day

The maximum speed of USB 2.0 is 480 megabits per second (Mbps)
also wifi 5GHZ is 433(up)/433(down) (Mbps)
so getting 200Mbps should not be an issue.

which CPE you are using?

the link between your usb ethernet adapter and your pc's ethernet port, could infact be 1GbE, but that USB 2.0 port on your 5G phone is what limits your actual speeds. here's how it could look like even with 1GbE link:

If you have the option, drop the MTU on your router (if the router does not have it then the PC) to 1280. That should fix your speed problem.
