well if you have terrible speeds in utorrent then you need to open ports.. if it is general downloading,surfing.. could be spyware,virus etc...

I prefer bridge mode, no need for port forwarding, i get 180+ KBytest/Sec with utorrent, i can use any port, easy to shcedule for night unlimited. very fast to disconnect or connect to bypass link-removed.com 1 hrs limit. u only need a good firewall as "Sygate Personal Firewall Pro" (it is a trusted firewall, provide 100% control over which program should access internet and which should not) if u restart ur modem in pppoe always on mode, u have to wait at least 2 min before connection reestablish.

right.. bridge mode is good if you have only one pc!!.. and in terms of speeds both are same!!
