Micromax Yu with 64-bit Snapdragon octa-core SoC coming on Dec 18

Micromax has sent out media invites for a December 18 event. The invite clearly mentions the Yu brand.

According to sources, the Yu smartphone will be among the first devices in India to be powered by Qualcomm’s new octa-core SoCs. This could mean either the Snapdragon 615 or Snapdragon 410 chipsets, which are both 64-bit octa-core processors.

Our sources also said that the phone will be 4G enabled, which is likely, considering that both these SoCs support 4G LTE connections.
