Data Transfer Error

Hey guys,i have a bsnl broadband home 500 plan.till yesterday the usage(for 08am-02am) was around 746 MB, and i had important anti virus updates,so i downloaded the required stuff(not much),but today,when i checked the account usage,the total data transfer reads 9141 MB,and this is what it says:start time-13:45:48 ,stop time-13:45:49 ,downloaded+uploaded-2073952 kB:Sstart time-13:50:00 ,stop time-13:55:57 ,dwld+upld-2082634 kBand this is repeated two more times for 13:55-14:00 and 14:00-14:26,the total size adding upto 8.3 GB.:OIt is quite evident that there is a mistake,but has anybody else been having this problem?And should i contact their office immediately or wait to see whether they themselves will realize their mistake and correct it.Thanks in advance Anand Sunder

Some of th newer subscribers are facing this problem. Dont worry, such entries are ignored while being billed. To be on the safer side, inform them about this error.

this is the first wrong bill for me i used only 2238MB and Free usage 1642MB... they left my plan(home500) status as "open" and charged me for 1642MB free usage also

Make sure u take the print outs of the stats so they u can present it to BSNL if there is any need later on..anyways do inform them about it.

Thanks 'cool_techie_tvm','vissu' and 'Motorazr143' for your time.And bad for you,vissu.I hope it doesn't happen again. Ya i am gonna contact them at the earliest.but will they re-issue the bill if needed,if something goes wrong.But now i am not able to go to the usual bsnl page-'http://bbservice.bsnl.in/'.There is a problem loading the page.So I have to check the usage on this page-'http://p3hosting.bsnl.in:9080/BroadBandCustomerPortal/'But the latter doesn't separate the '02-08' and '08-02' usage.It adds up the total usage,which is over 10 GB.:thumb:.Anyway,bye guys and thanks for your help.Anand

Yay,jus checked the usage,it is back to normal again.They just erased the additional 8 GB.:yahoo:The problem is solved,my heart feels lighter.....Thanks fellas for everything,and see you later.Anand
