How do i claim warranty for that? Because its not purchased separately.

Shouldnt matter. They wouldnt know it was OEM in a laptop I am guessing. Go to the manufacturer RMA website - enter your serial number and check if it is under warranty or call the memory distributor or authorised service center and check with them.

Mine is Hynix ram. And i do not see any option for RMA

Called up HQ in banglore and they said they do not have any RMA center in india and i need to contact Dell/

Hynix RAM is freely available in the markets atleast in Chennai. I am sure one of those dealers can tell you how to get it replaced. Just call one such dealer and tell him you purchased RAM for your laptop through him 2-3 years back and it is malfunctioning. How to get it replaced through manufacturer...

Dell support : 18004250088There is a one time part replacement service where they replace any part you want, take that if you want to make you laptop brand newRecently I paid 11k and they replaced my motherboard,heat sink, fan, LCD bezel, palm rest(including the touchpad), I/O board and now they are replacing hard disk because it is giving some error so they will replace it too

They are asking 4500 for ram replacement

Did you tell them that only one ram chip is needed to be replaced? Maybe they are telling the price of both
