This is almost clear now,He got his new connection on 15-03-08, so ,[ if the plan is H250, then he would have got around 560 MB free for 17 days in march, If the usage is jsut 1 GB,then, for remaining 440MB (@0.9/MB) he shud be charged 416/-, but it is not]becoz the plan is H500C, for 15 days it would be 250 rental and 754MB free day usage data. exceeded 1Gb, not exactly known, if it was 1116MB, then excess 362 MB(@ 0.8/MB ) sums up to Rs 290 .500 installation might be for a new telephone connection.I could not calculate for serrvice tax.waiting for shamvil to clarify.

We are talking about March Bill. So for Home 250/= you will be charged for . 250/31 x 17days.
Rs 136 or Rs 137/= ( or they charge for full month Rs 250/= clarify this with A.O ) No modem rent etc .

Hi essbee/bhargawa,Thanx for your support,Now my only concern is that whether do i have to pay securit deposit of 500 rs as well as installation charges of 500 rs

@/members/shamvil/Since you are using the modem supplied by BSNL both ( security Deposit and Installation )should not apply. See the Tariff page web site given in Post No.2.Explain to the A.O. Tell him, if you are forced to pay will take up the matter with D.E DGE Grievance cell etc of your area Did you send any email ?Your bill for March ; does it show any amout for modem rent say Rs 60 or rs 32 ( for 17 days) etc ?===>>>> Over to @bhargawa

Ess Bee, I have not purchased modem from BSNL, i have my own modem, On Monday i will go to BSNL office & will ask them for itemised/detail bill, Once i will recieve it, then only i will get a clear idea of how much they have charged me

Agreed. Here in Chennai the bill clearly shows the break up for phone calls and broadband usage. ( for me modem rent Rs 60 is shown ). If by mistake they have billed you also modem rent then installation/security deposit also automatically added. . Please give feedback how problem was solved.
