Zee Dish TV sucks.

I won't agree with this one. The picture quality might be better on d2h or Tata Sky, but I've had good experience with their after sales till date. Once I was facing an issue with my package, so I sent an Email to their CEO. He himself replied to me with a CC to his team and the issue was resolved within an hour.

Is dish+ recorder for SD capable of playing mp3, mp4, flv videos, loaded on the USB drive from laptops ? Or does it only allow replaying what is recorder through the dish+ recorder ? Pls reply. Thanks

not capable of playing anything which is not recorded using the recorder.

Not worth buying, pendrive have very less life if you use them with these recorders.

Guys,
I have a dish TV connection and I am thinking of upgrading to Dish+. But, when I enquired, the CC guys said that it will cost 999 Rs for the upgrade and they won't be proving a Hard Disk and that we will have to bear the cost of it.
I basically want it for my mother who wishes to record the serials she will not be able to watch.
What I want to know is this. Does anyone know how many GBs of the hard disk would be required to record couple of 30 mins serials over a weeks time in Dish+ ? I am thinking of getting a 64GB pen drive. Is it enough ?

1GB per hour. So to record a 30min serial for a week. you need .5*1gb*7= 3.5GB || 4GB.

Thanks for the tip.
I enquired from few folks who were using this Dish+ service and I have decided not to upgrade the box. I got several bad feedbacks for this box, like recordings getting stopped, record only the channels you watch, etc.
