yeap. petrol and diesel costing is less than 30 rupees from what i remember reading few months ago. rest is all taxes.
Million Dollar question will be is that by end of 2012 will petrol be 85-90 rs ?? If yes then diesel cars will be better in terms of saving money .. If petrol stays stable or increases by just 3-4 rs by year end then the gap will start narrowing between petrol and diesel .. I believe this hike of 50 paise will continue till 10 rs hike so that is for nearly 2 years ... by 2 years I presume petrol will easily be 100 ..
i think petrol is already deregulated. in a way that the hike would be very marginal and would be based on the trends in the international crude prices. of course, this government does not really follow logic. even when oil prices are dropping internationally, they keep on crying about the HUGE LOSSES oil companies in india are making. freaking *******s.
