So, does anyone know whether non-Jio mesh devices will work with JioFiber, or are we forced to use only their proprietary stuff which will be useless with any other ISP?

@Dave Mesh depends on a number of factors - and the cheap ones generally only have dual band. Thus, the 5ghz band carries both client data and mesh data, and easily gets choked. The ones you need to get are the triband ones, where there is a dedicated band for the router/satellite to communicate with one another, leaving a 2.4 and 5 ghz band available for client data.
Then there's the matter of what format they support - a/b/g/n/ax, how is their penetration (specially wrt Indian walls), daisy chaining of satellites etc.
Looking at all the stats, found Orbi to the one to get for Indian homes (my house is about 2500 sq ft). 1 router + 1 satellite combo (RBK50), pushes range till my car parking (which is about 20-30 feet away from...
What about the mesh solution, the Jio people are providing? It is much cheaper.. Though locked to Jio Fiber... How is the performance? Anybody who has used it please comment..

Jio mesh device specs list 'Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh' standard. So ideally, any EasyMesh certified mesh device should work with the Jio setup. As of now most device manufacturers have their own standards but I think D-Link has a product (COVR 1102) which is EasyMesh certified. Looks like Jio did good on this one.

Using Orbi (RBK50) with Jio router. Since we cant do bridge, Orbi is in AP mode, and Jio router has all wifi switched. If both are in router mode, it can lead to double NAT issues. Works well, full 500 Mbps on wired, about 350-500 Mbps on Wifi.
I have seen a bridge mode enable/disable setting in Jio centrum, but I haven't tried it. Does it not work?
Also, I'm thinking of getting a mesh system installed, how do you turn off the wifi in Jio router or resolve NAT conflict?
