Download Speed for BSNL 8 Mbps 1441 Plan

Hello Friends

I changed my plan from Home Combo 999 to Home Combo 1441 and few of my friends from different state and districts.

They get Port speed 8192 in Down and upstream is 1024
While I get only 7999 as downstream and 540 Kbps in upload.

I want to know what exactly BSNL offer download Speed, What speed you get from IDM or utorrent while downloading ?

My all friends who have 8192 port speed getting 850KB/s+ in utorrent and 930KB/s+ in IDM
But I am not getting more than 800KB/s in utorrent and 880KB/s MAx in IDM,

I contact BSNL about speed issue they said, Its good speed and they can not change it ? I asked to to provide proper down and up speed port and yet they can not change it by saying that it is default from Bangalore (is it right?)

I even file complain on PGPORTAL now and still they are not changing it.

So if any one around using 8Mbps ADSL plan of BSNL then how much speed they are getting or should I file a court case against BSNL for not providing proper 8 Mbps port (Because mine current one is 7999 and its not 8 Mbps mathematically)

Please Advise.

your government requires the internet service providers to deliver 80% of advertised speeds.
keep on putting pressure by filing more pgportal complaints.

means I can have max 7 Mbps on plan of 8 Mbps, :-(
Anyways If you know what should be speed we have, I guess its like 1MB/s on 8 Mbps

8mbps should deliver minimum of 6.4mbps. Which I believe comes to around 800KBps.

What exactly are you writing in your complaint on PGPortal?

I am not getting speed, I am getting around 600 to 650 KB/s while in my 4 Mbps I had around 500KB/s

Write more about your line speed. That it is set below the plan speed. Also mention that line speed should be higher to accomodate loss during transmission.

Edit: BTW today One of BSNL engineer told that they have set port to 10 Mbps for down but its was showing 7800 to me, then he said that port speed can not be apply manually, they can not change it, its pre define by BSNL from Bangalore, can that be true ?
