Error 678, Need Solution! (in Goa)

Congrats.Please explain what PORT was changed where ? number etc ?In your computer or in the Exchange ?The present explanation will not help other users.What would happen or have happened , if you don't use the "WANminiport" ?Say "always on" position UserID/PW entered in the modem . Not"Bridged"/ using a dialer ? Para two : Better try SEARCH option above , and then open a new thread. or continue a thread of similar subject.

See, every telephone Line in every house is assigned a certain Port by their respective telephone Exchange .. If something is wrong with the port, then your internet connection won't work whether u use bridge mode or pppoe mode cause after all your connection goes through that port only irrespective of any method

The only thing is in pppoe mode, you won't know what the problem is but in bridge mode, atleast you get a hint of what could be possible problems.

They just Resetted this port, Reset means don't know exactly what it is, whether changing port or anything else, but it doesn't make any change in your phone number or dataone username or password or anything else .. Everything remains same as it was before. and yeah Everything is being done by Exchange at their place .. they have particular system in their exchange to reset the port or block the port or transfer the port or divert the port etc etc .. they can do anything with a simple click
