Hello,

We got BSNL Phone + Internet Connection ( Unlimited 1350 ) package on March 27th.

In APrill i got 70 odd rupees bill.

But today, I got 3000+ odd bill. 154 rs call charges, 300 rs odd tax.

I think they have charged 1350 X 2 = 2700.

Any reason why? I have used only for April and march 3 days.

I didn't take any modem from BSNL Guys

waiting for your reply...

Which Plan are you on? HOME UL1350 or UL1350+?

I am currently on the HOME UL1350 Normal Plan, where i was charged a Rs.1000 for Telephone Deposit apart from the Rs.500 Initial deposit when i applied for a new connection in Dec 2008. I don't know the reason why was that extra Rs.1000 deposit was charged on my first bill.

The First Bill i got was this:

Bill Dated: 30/12/2008 to 31/12/2009

Fixed Monthly Charges: Rs.12
Call Charges: Rs.5
Debits [Advanced Rental Deposit for Telephone]: Rs.1000
Credits [Initial Deposit]: Rs.500 (minus)
Taxes: Rs.63.90

Total Bill Amount: Rs.1078

Subsequently the next month's bill was this:

Bill Dated: 01/01/2009 to 31/01/2009

Fixed Monthly Charges: Rs.180
Unlimited Broadband Home: Rs.1350
Call Charges: Rs.259
Debits [Advanced Rental Deposit for Broadband]: Rs.1350
Installation Fee for Broadband: Rs.250
Credits: Rs.270 (minus) as i get a 20% Rebate on Broadband
Taxes: Rs.252

Total Bill Amount: Rs. 3371

So i assume you share the same concern. I did not purchase a modem from them as i was not happy with their sub standard ones they offer, so i bought my own modem. The reason why i was charged an additional Rs.1350, was indeed a credit for security deposit.

BSNL is being known notorious regarding billing as they never make clear their terms and conditions to consumers:@
