Excitel Broadband: Slow Internet Speeds to Many Servers and Locations

My speeds are back to normal too, which shouldn't be the case on Sunday morning if it were congestion.

ACT- 88.63 down. 96.71 up

MNR- 91.91 down 97 up

Airtel- 83.24 down 96.22 up

BLR1-DigitalOcean- 56.81 down 20.36 up ping-108ms

Speedtest.net-NYC- 23.7 down 17.95 up

This problem can be got around though with a VPN

BLR1-DigitalOcean with HostDime/IPVanish- 82.43 down, 12 up

Speedtest.net-NYC with IPVanish- 56.88 down 18.47 up

Airtel with IPVanish/Hostdime- 84.91 down 79.37 up

MNR with IPVanish/Hostdime- 86.69 down 77.38 up

Dunno how long this speed will last.

My speeds are bad again and it will get worse only as the day passes.

It wasn't happening 2-3 days back.
 
@Aakash Malhotra Thanks for the screenshots.

Few days back, I had a talk with the Static IP Department of Excitel. They made some changes and gave me Static IP for 1-2 hour.

After that they removed the Static IP and since then I am on Extreme Arena instead of Excitel.

I did like 200 restarts since then and it's constantly Extreme Arean.

Now the thing is, there is one hop on the tracert which has high ping.

At night, it's 40-300 but in the mornings, it's 400-600 and by the noon it gets worse as 800ms also.

I feel like this could be the potential reason that my account's / connection's settings are messed up right now.

If possible, could you please re-do the tests since in the morning you would have fine speeds. But if you're affected as just as I am.

You will follow the same pattern that is your speed will be down right now and it will get worst in the night.

@JB700 is unluckily following the same pattern and some other people too (different areas).

@Shivam255 Can you do the tests again?

Okay. It seems like the people who are on the node/setup of excitel which shows their ISP as Excitel has no issues.

But the people who are on their different nodes/ISP Name are having issues.

As one of my friend who has Excitel, has Excitel as his ISP and he has no issues.

Thanks @Aakash Malhotra At this point, I really don't know what can be done here. Since, its a bit technical and it can be explained to customer support or anyone.

Any suggestions?
 
i am just pissed off with this excitel, can you suggest some other isp .i have airtel, den and some other local options in my area.
 
^ If you have Airtel? Move to Airtel. They are the best. I've the most consistent performance with Airtel. The reason I'm with Excitel is because Excitel's latency doesn't increase when uploading happens.

That's the only reason.

I seriously wish, Airtel FTTH comes into my area asap.

I have used Airtel, Excitel, Hathway, MTNL.

I would rate Airtel any day the best ISP.
