Excitel Broadband: Slow Internet Speeds to Many Servers and Locations

^ He's also showing the same footprint in the day time, the speed is going less. I am sure by the noon/evening, it will be worst.

If possible, do the speedtest in the evening too. You will see, how bad DO will drop and other peered and non-peered too.

I will submit my results too.

Speed from Amazon Web Services (Mumbai), I just checked are down too.

I was getting full-speed in mid-night.

Haha. I called Excitel Appellate Support and according to them, they don't even use Extreme-IX.

And, I guess we have enough proof on this thread that they use Extreme-IX.

I was getting good speeds until 10 AM. And, Now it's again shit.

So far, Excitel's support is useless and clue-less.

Yeah that part doesn't make much sense to me either since most people are at work/college/school at 10AM, so if it were congestion, your speeds should increase at that time.

Why not try using speedtest-cli to run speedtest every half an hour or so for a couple of days and plot a graph to see if you can see a pattern.

I looked up a bit further and found what I said earlier to not be true. According to Extreme IX statistics page , traffic levels are lowest at 5AM and begins to climb back up until peak at 1PM and then slowly dips back down after another spike . So , it could be congestion since you start getting better speeds at midnight and thats around when traffic starts to decrease.

@ajgamer maby try connecting excitel wire directly
to the PC and check if you get excitel not the extreem arena
if it routs through excitel
then connect to the router again
thanks
note: when I am using YOU Broadband there use to bee 2 ISP routs 1 use to bee working good
and other one is bad
I use to disconnect the cable from the router and connect it to PC
then reconnecting to router again
this worked for me
I think it may work for YOU
thanks
