Excitel Broadband User Experience in Gurgaon

I will not recommend changing these values unless you are 100% sure and confirmed that this behavior of not responding is as per parameters.
Which in standard ISP setting should absolutely be not true.

Your router is not the cause of the dead peer, as long as the connectivity up to from your end to the Excitel demarc is good, which is the ONU.

If you increase the threshold, your PPP session will remain up, but chances are you will incur packet loss.
This will also cause desync and the session might already be disconnected on your carrier end.

too much disconnections, disconnects like 5 times in 12 hours.
Will get disconnected if this continues, but I have paid for 3 months in advance lol. is there any chance of refund?
the only need of excitel was that it does not block torrents and has good single threaded download speed.

I paid for the 6-month cable plan (400 Mbps), and the connection went down three times within 7 days, averaging 24 hours of downtime each time. I raised a ticket asking for a refund, but there has been no response to date, even after a follow-up email. I wasn't necessarily expecting a refund, but I wanted to see how the company would handle this. 🤷‍♂️

Your best bet would be to talk to the LCO and get it sorted at a personal level.

LCO says "Company ke side se down hai, hum kuch nahi kar sakte bhaiya"
Excitel uses cheap SMC BNG for my gateway, which is in delhi, I get 5ms ping to it.
The problem is their BNG side, it disconnects the PPPoE session.
Not fiber cut, just INT light stops glowing on the router.

My bad, I just went through your recent posts. If this issue can only be sorted by Excitel, you will have to raise a ticket (which I am assuming you would have already, and update it with proper screenshots with your findings). Customer service does arrange a follow up which is supposedly done by their senior technical staff. One of my tickets is open which is to do with low transfer speeds. They tried to get in touch with me twice. I have not been able to attend those calls. My previous post was mainly to do with asking for a refund.

I am getting used to excitel's ticket system.
No one contacts back and ticket is closed by LCO saying "solved".
LCO could have asked Excitel to provide seamless connectivity with PPPoE session reset only at 7 days of continuous uptime, but he doesnt know shit.

That may very well be the case.

Meanwhile, the status of my ticket:

He has Airtel as a backup and I may very well have to do the same. It's just that Excitel has been stable for me the last 10 days or so.

As a matter of fact, he faces more issues than me when it comes to Excitel. Lol
