Excitel Fiber Broadband Experience in Delhi NCR

@AAK let me explain it a little better....Airtel primary, TPBB secondary. Both feed into my pfSense router..which handles multiple WANs seamlessly with fall back /fall forward and load balancing.

Also, as mentioned above BSNL converted my landline to fibre recently and they added on a 30 Mbps connection. Now this will be used for guests.

As for the others Jio and You BB whenever they wire up the place, I may not take either of them because they have restrictions..Jio with no bridge mode etc and You with only ethernet connectivity no fibre. However there are others in the colony who are keen for their own reasons.

PS - Let me add, BSNL is a stand alone connection, not connected to my pfsense box

Wait... You broadband doesn't provide fiber? They're on copper? I saw they had really good plans like 350 Mbps with 3.5 TB of FUP 🤔

No, YBB doesn't provide fibre at least in my residential area. I checked with them. Heck man, even BSNL is fibre now and these guys are still wandering around in previous decade. SMH. They use CAT5E or CAT6 cable to connect and yeah, it is CGNAT. Not sure if they give IPv6

Main problem is they don't have a proper direction. In the process of merger they should have been merged with Vi as Vi fiber. That would have been awesome as well as better all under Vi's shadow.

Any possibility?

@Life_Warrior You also watch Dagor K Vlogs? 😂
I started watching him since like 2020 (Crock Technology).

But I don't think so because the routers that excitel is providing now doesn't have landline port which means no future plans... Comment toh kisine aise hi kar diya hoga... But maybe mai galat hu who knows...

I don't know about that as in Jaipur they started with fiber because when they Launched in Jaipur they started offering fiber to other cities including Delhi as well as 100,200,300 Mbps plans. Just like Mumbai launch. Jaipur was very big for them and still is. They moved from 50,75,100 Mbps copper to fiber in Delhi & other cities when launched in Jaipur. Same with Mumbai launch introducing 400 Mbps plans to all other cities. Don't know what's next 😂...

And yeah about the question. When I first got the connection In 2019 they gave me GX dual band router with Landline port which I replaced on 31 Jan 2022 because I wanted the newer one with 4 antennas. And the newer one doesn't have RJ11 port. So it's kinda telling that they're not in a mood to launch landline. But let's see.

Same thing happened last week to me for 3-4 days after which it got fixed. It's an issue from their Delhi servers.
