Man, I am reading essays here, I never wrote this much even in exams for the 15 marks question, what havoc is writing here for just forum posts. Bravo bro.
No But I Can Tell You One Thing For Sure, Excitel Provides OLT'S and SWITCHES to the lco and mainly they provide EPON for all their operators even if they have many customers they Just provide more olt rather than upgrading the OLT to the GPON network but after getting funding and upgrading the plan speeds, EPON just can't handle that shit anymore...the switch was only 1Gbps Before But Now They Are Providing 10Gbps Switch Line and GPON OLT's with 8 Port and Per Port It's Like 10Gbps Output. So Technically Excitel Is Upgrading It's Infra Not Sure If IPv6 Gonna Launch Soon or Not, They Still Haven't Started VoiP For Customers Though
I doubt VoIP is in their priority list though, judging by most broadband customers that do have landlines barely use it. The situation would have been different if mobile calls were not unlimited.
Excitel does seem to now use GPON for their new expansions like Mumbai but I don't think they are gonna bother with IPV6 (even airtel is struggling with that no clue why) at the moment since their IPV4 lines aren't stable enough and they have like /32 ipv6 subnet.
