Excitel Fiber Broadband Experience in Delhi NCR

that's called the standard of connection.
C'mon πŸ˜‚ that's a total roast of mine πŸ˜‚
TBH I've never cleaned that area πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

@havoc Did you get the ethernet LAN cable with router, as it's mentioned on the manual?
Yes, I have got the grey cable around 1 - 1.5 metres with the router.

That blue one is my CAT5E cable going to another router 40 metres away which is also connected to another router via CAT6 40 metres away.

jugaad" excitel did for my location.

You know what that's what I love about getting a new internet connection... Shiny & clean brand new fiber cables + router in my home. The feeling of new is just amazing. After few months it's just a part of dust party πŸ˜‚

But your setup looks cleaaannnn with that glass table. Is the black fiber the standard one or different? It looks thin. How many cores does it have? Also the white dabba where the Balck cable has been spliced to the patch cable looks awesome πŸ˜‚ what's that?

Also @Life_Warrior can you share your setup? 😁

Airtel's installation is so much better than any LCOs or Excitel
Excitel's plans are so much better than any Airtel or Jio one's...
I can get 400 Mbps for 3 years the same price as I can get Airtel or Jio's 300 Mbps for a single year. Given that in my area excitel never gave me any downtime except fiber cuts (Which someone did intentionally where Jio guys took 1 week to repair as well as Airtel guys who took 3 days. First one to come in the morning for repair was an excitel guy 😁)

The yellow cable is socketed and can be replaced easily without rewelding the whole fiber.
That's initial investment which saves Airtel from bringing splicing machine again & again. Also as it is detachable it's common in Indian households that a relative's kid or someone curious will try to unplug it or get dust around it or whatever the scenario... It is better to have it fixed permanently rather than giving a socket. Because cable damage inside JC is rare unless done by purpose.

JIO people do the best installation as they have to show pictures of box and fiber cable.

Even though the patch cable was also zip tied and Setup was good I just removed all that and patch cable looks loose. When I got Jio fiber for 1 month trial their people were good in everything but their thin fiber wire (even though supported by metal wire) is easy to bend and fold + a little messy when it comes to management. I prefer the normal cable Airtel & LCOs use.

No, I'm talking about the one that comes from Splitter or distribution box outside your house (on poles) to your indoor JC (white box). Where it is then connected to yellow patch cable then to the router.

I know their overhead cables are mammoth πŸ˜‚

Really? Can you share some images. It would be great if that cable is also thick. Is that cable cylindrical?

Wow that's good. Is that a single core one or dual core one? Does it have Reliance Branding on it?

Yes. There is reliance binding. I dont know dual core or single core. Mainly they install single core for customers.
