@Sushubh Okay. It seems similar to the Airtel PPOE thing. Okay. Can we ask for the PPOE details from Excitel Tech Support as well if LCO guys says no to provide (if I don't pay them 200 Rs for the Router Config charges).

Also, Please advice a good router?

@Rishabh Sahni I am bit of confused. Did you buy their router or not?
 
you just need username and password which they would need to provide to you because that's how you access your own account on my.excitel.com and pay your bills. assuming he is ok with you paying the bill online.

and from my understanding, you might not be able to use google public dns. excitel i believe override the settings on your pc/router.
 
Okay. I think we use Google DNS for better speeds or reachability to the websites. Excitel's own DNS is well for you? @Sushubh

Also, Why do you say load balancing Excitel is not doing well for you?
 
excitel guy claimed that they force their own dns so that they can optimize the routing based on their own peering agreement.
my load balancer is not working well. it has nothing to do with excitel.

Yes you can use google dns , even i use it & no i did not buy excitel provided router i bought my own TP-Link wr841n & excitel guys will provide you the authentication details even if you don't pay installation charges
