Existing subscribers of Reliance Jio Fiber: Have you been upgraded to new truly unlimited plans?

In the SMS we had received earlier, it was clearly mentioned, that the trial upgrade would include symmetric upload and download speeds, from 5th September. Hence, along with unlimited data, they should be giving the upgraded upload speed from today onwards.

Would restarting the router help?

Give some time to your router. It has become accustomed to 10% upload speed for so many months now. It must have been shocked when the upload speed was suddenly increased to 100%. Once it recovers from the shock, it will give you proper speeds.

Router was used to 100% upload speed during the preview offer. I miss those days. Would stack up 40 GB vouchers at the beginning of a new cycle, and not worry about FUP, or 10% upload.

@zervinb Did you restart your router and test ? I think these speeds will change only with new plans i.e. a queued plan gets activated or you buy a new plan.

@alekhkhanna No I haven't checked. I'm not at home. Will be reaching home after 3 hours, after which I'll be able to check.

@zervinb I restarted and checked. Same speeds as legacy for DL/UL.

@alekhkhanna Maybe Jio is still upgrading, and they will give the new speeds in some time.

However, if they don't, then this seems worrisome for those who are on long-term plans, or those who added further long-term plans to gain added benefits with the upgrade.
