Muze itna padhne ka time nahi hai.Jab GPS ko signal nahi milta tab A-GPS shuru ho jata hai. GPS, A-GPS ke tulna me slow reheta hai par accuracy jyada hoti hai. Map direction ke hisab se nahi mudta to map ke top right pe compass ka chinh hota hai, use press karo to rigth location pe point dikhata hai aur phirse press karo to direction ke hisab se jata hai. direction chalu hai ya nahi pata karne ke lie dekhna hoga ki wo compass chinh thodasa muda hua hota hai anyatha wo + ki jyadatar aakar me hota hai. Muze bhi us bat me kai pareshania aai, finally mene pata kar lia. Mene naya phone lia hai, kuchh din bad mahina ho jaega. Achchha hua mene jaldi pata laga lia. :)

at least on android with all the relevant sensors. google maps can show you the direction of places in results page. it rotates as you rotate in compass mode.

if you have an android device with compass... i suggest you should check out streetview in america. it is pretty awesome experience.
i dont have android till now, but i think my iOS (4G) doesn't have a digital compass, so it doesn't rotate the map when i turn.

Regarding Streetview, yes i was watching some videos on youtube about this, it looked cool.

BTW, chromaniac, is that google maps or google navigation? looks like google navigation to me.

Does google maps turn when you turn? Does it change the direction according to vehicle direction?

to uper kya likha hai bhay

Mere pas LG optimus hai. GPS, with A-GPS hai. Wo direction ke hisab se mudta hai. firse uper ka post padho. Maybe depends on product, dont know.

i got reasonable good experience on both apps sygic and google navigation on my Galaxy s, only sometimes any glich otherwise good, and there are more places to be searched and easily on google navigation :courage:

i am pretty sure Apple iPhone has compass. they usually bundle in tons of sensors on their phones.

I used brutmaps (now ownhere) 2 years ago. Google nav was really useful. It had trouble speaking indian roads but I got through the busy bangalore roads :)
