Fair Usage Policy on Hathway Broadband

i was browsing through the hathway website where i noticed the FUP mentioned there.

currently i use the 512 kbps NU plan. has the policy been implemented by hathway. does 20 gb apply for entire period of plan or a single month.

also what are the latest unlimited plans offered by hathway in MUMBAI

Yes..I too am a victim of this fair usage policy..I had upgraded it last month and i was not even informed..Forget about their latest plans ...all the ones on the site are out of date..Im sorry for being harsh..but u can understand my situation.

yes the plans are outdated. i sent them mail for upgrading to new plans but they did not. they sent me an excel sheet for the plans which too were outdated. now i will personally visit the office for change of plan.

what happened when u crossed the FUP. do u get the speed as promised - ie 50 - 60 kbps on TORRENTS

I started the scheme this month..downloaded around 20gb wid speeds around 55-65 on torrents..
2 days bak..My speed dropped to 20-25..I got Mindf***d. I called them up sayin that my speed has dropped to half..they tried doing somethin on their side..n they gave me a complaint number.thats it nothing after that..u know any provided that doesnt have these policies??

oh this month -- wait till the end it should be back to 512 by september did u download 20 gb in 15 days -- must be movies of big size

Yeah anything and everything..movies,sports etc from link-removed..you think it will b bak to 512 from sept?

yes it should be back to 512 in september as the FUP is on monthly basis

some of the ISP have this FUP so that people dont take mis-advantage of the unltd plan. this FUp depends on TRAI which regulates ISPs

did u pay for 6 months in advance or u pay montly and what is the name of the unlimited 512 plan

do u have any idea about NIVYAH BROADBAND they have low rates with 2-3 times the speed of HATHWAY

this Fair Usage Policy depends on TRAI which regulates ISPs

TRAI has nothing to do with fair usage policies. they do not have any regulation in place related to FUP. though we hope they soon make one.
