You know, I feel WUBI is a double-edged sword. Yes its good for newbies (and lazy folks

) who don't want/can't do a real install, I feel it's unstable/buggy for long term regular/daily use. Maybe it's okay for those who just want to check out new releases on short term basis.
For people like you who are even slightly technically savvy its worth taking a little extra effort to do a proper install to partition to get full performance and fewer issues
I'm just saying I don't trust WUBI yet...

Yes KDE 4.2 is a real pleasant, modern and stable desktop experience now - been using it daily/exclusively for a few weeks now without booting into
Windows... GNOME will lose users even though it is simple and clean UI, its starting to feel outdated compared to competition from KDE/Win7...
