Yep, so cutting edge that now I am stuck without bluetooth because apparently new btusb module is not compatible with v1.1

Huh!Cant be.. I just used an old Belkin USB BT 1.1 dongle yesterday!!!!!

yes certain dongles work, certain dont.

Bug exists since 2.6.27 i.e. after hci_usb module was replaced by btusb

OK, Im switching (already) back from Ubuntu to Kubuntu 9.04... had switched from KDE to GNOME in 2007 with 7.04 feisty fawn.KDE 4.2 is pretty stable now and looks/feels smooth and modernReplaced KDE's network manager plasmoid with GNOME's to get WPA2 with Wifi, Static IP support and VPN/PPTP working. Also removed K3b and installed GNOME Brasero which looks like a native KDE app thanks to QtCurve style with GtkEngineQtCurve... sweet!Earlier I used to be booted in Windows most of the time but now all my work like browsing, email, torrents, online music, videos/movies, office/printing everything works on Linux so finally after 10 years of occasionally checking out Linux its full time switch for me from now on :dance:Even my aunt and mom find it comfortable doing browsing/email/office/printing so I can leave my desktop booted in KDE most of the time...

You know, I feel WUBI is a double-edged sword. Yes its good for newbies (and lazy folks ) who don't want/can't do a real install, I feel it's unstable/buggy for long term regular/daily use. Maybe it's okay for those who just want to check out new releases on short term basis.

For people like you who are even slightly technically savvy its worth taking a little extra effort to do a proper install to partition to get full performance and fewer issues

I'm just saying I don't trust WUBI yet...

Yes KDE 4.2 is a real pleasant, modern and stable desktop experience now - been using it daily/exclusively for a few weeks now without booting into Windows... GNOME will lose users even though it is simple and clean UI, its starting to feel outdated compared to competition from KDE/Win7...

GNOME and KDE are like MySQL and PostgreSQL.If you like simplicity but less features, less flexibility then its GNOMEIf you like more features and more flexibility but with bit complexity then its KDE
