I'm living in Pune

I wan to apply for "Peace of Mind Flat Fee Plans " (Day 1 Mbps, Night 2 Mbps) and I have some questions as below
1. Do they provide WiFi router for me and how much do they charge?
2. Is it ADSL one?
3. As they said it costs 1499 / month, does the bill come exactly 1499 or how much?
4. Can this plan make me to watch media stuffs online such as youtube or another movie online by no any buffering?
5. What is the speed of Upload?
6. Do I need to log in every time of using?

Thanks very much,
Regard,
TOO

I have a combo(Phone+Internet) connection so i unable to answer your few questions.

1) Nope
2) NIL
3) Rs.1499 + 10.36% tax
4) You'll be 99.9% satisfied
5) 500 - 700 kbps (I may be wrong here)
6) Once in 24 hrs

If I buy WiFi router extra myself, do you think they will install it for me because we are living 3 people in my flat and it is gonna be very not comfortable if we have no WiFi router. Or do we have only to use wire cables to connect to our laptops by hook or crook?

Thanks million

Hi everyone.I have just applied for Reliance Broadband Wired connection, which should be done in few days.I have few questions regarding the same.I am thinking of choosing between a]Peace of Mind Flat Fee Plans: Surf Addiction 300.1]My how much speed should I expect?2]And is 300Kbps enough in these days to surf, download (I am not too concerned about high speed--something between 30-60kbps for download will be good enough for me)and also play games?---The Unlimited usage thing is important for me2]The other plan I am thinking of going for(if the above is not satisfactory) is Freedom 249 which provides 2Mbps speed. It is not unlimited and has a Bundled Data Usage limit of just 1GB.I know this will effectively rule out my downloading ventures, but will 1GB be good enough for a month if I intend to surf, play on sites like Yahoo games(pool & poker) and watch videos on sites like Youtube, dailymotion etc.

I am on that plan as well.- Speed is standard.......300/8 = 37.5 kbytes/s Up & Down. And i think they guarantee u 80-90% of this billed speed. So u can easily get between 30-37.5 kbytes/s.- Regarding sufficiency, well it depends on the type of work u do. Generally these speeds work fine for regular usage. I havent played games online, so dont know whats the experience. But if u want to watch videos, then theres a noticeable buffering time. U have to wait for the whole video to get buffered, to watch it.- And till now it is true unlimited, havent heard any official words from them regarding any limits. So till then its well & good.- 1 GB @ 2 Mbps.........well if u download a 1 GB file at that speed, the file will be on ur Hard Drive in about 2.5-3 hours. So it all depends on the type of videos u watch - obviously lengthy videos are big. But if u watch the HD videos on these sites, then without u realising, ur limit may get exhausted. But if normal "Home usage" is consisdered, then 1 GB can be enough. When i say "Home Usage", i mean around 2-3 people checking emails, some facebooking, and some video watching. I dont have any idea how much transfers are involved in Gaming online.

Thanks man.A little buffering time is ok for me, the priority is unlimited.I know the 1GB will not be great for me, since I might mostly exhaust it on gaming and videos.I need it for my simple home use, but the pricing and unlimited downloading is the priority.Hence the 450 plan works the best for me.I was only concerned about the speed but that is good enough for me.I don't know much about these stuff, since this will be my first internet connection.I am in Mumbai, and they said the service is decent in Mumbai. So looking forward to connection day now. Thanks a ton for your answer.

Hi everyone.

I am thinking of choosing between
a]Peace of Mind Flat Fee Plans: Surf Addiction 300.

1]My how much speed should I expect?

2]And is 300Kbps enough in these days to surf, download (I am not too concerned about high speed--something between 30-60kbps for download will be good enough for me)
and also play games?
---The Unlimited usage thing is important for me

I know this will effectively rule out my downloading ventures, but will 1GB be good enough for a month if I intend to surf, play on sites like Yahoo games(pool & poker) and watch videos on sites like Youtube, dailymotion etc.

Why didn't u go for combo plans? If u ever feel that u need more speed(unlimited plans) you can opt for in combo plans whereas in Peace of Mind Flat Fee Plans the next higher plan would cost u Rs.1499.
Trust me, forgot about streaming videos in youtube/dailymotion with 300 kbps. Try & tell me......

@WrinkledMind - if you have any intention to watch Youtube videos, you'll be in trouble if you go for that 1 GB plan.

@ Emil.....He hasnt taken that 1 GB plan. I said that to him.@ Raj......yeah i think Combo was better. It didnt strike me to tell when i posted!!
